I know patience is a virtue that even adults struggle with, but I think toddlers especially seem to have difficulty learning this lesson. Emily thinks if she says something once and I don't respond immediately that she has to repeat the request another 10 times. I have heard Emily say "you need to be patient", but I don't think she really comprehends the concept.
Emily's latest entertainment has been playing in the bathroom sink. She loves to fill it up "by herself" and play with her bathtub toys. We'll step away for a couple of minutes and then hear her down the hall having a full blown conversation with her toys.
